No More Worries Explained
Experience, perspective and international coordination for families
For more than fifty years, No More Worries’ founding partner, Philip van Hilten, has worked with families of different nationalities, cultures and backgrounds. During those years, he has encountered many of the situations in which families can unexpectedly find themselves – usually more than once and often in very different countries and circumstances

He founded No More Worries in the belief that this accumulated experience should not be left unused. Families and individuals can benefit greatly from having someone beside them who no longer needs to approach every question solely as a technical specialist, but who recognises situations, understands how they may develop and knows which questions should be asked before important decisions are taken.
Philip continues to devote his full time, energy and personal attention to this work. No More Worries is therefore not simply a collection of knowledge acquired in the past. It is an active and highly involved practice, using experience, curiosity and continuing international relationships to make life easier for families today.
Although every family is different, the questions that keep families awake at night are often remarkably similar. How do we protect what we have built? How do we prepare for death, illness or incapacity? How do we transfer responsibility to the next generation? And how do we prevent legal, financial or personal differences from developing into family conflicts?
For international families, these questions are often even more complicated. Family members, businesses, homes, investments and other assets may be spread across several countries. Lawyers, tax advisers, accountants, trustees and other professionals may each provide an important part of the answer, but usually from within their own country, jurisdiction or professional discipline. The family itself is then left to bring all those separate answers together.
That is where No More Worries can help.
We listen, ask questions and help the family see the wider picture. We can act as its independent counsellor and, where necessary, as the central point connecting the family with the different professionals involved.
We do not seek to replace good existing advisers or to provide every technical answer ourselves. We help identify the questions that really need to be answered, find the right specialists where necessary and ensure that advice from different countries and disciplines comes together in one coherent and practical course of action.
Our ability to assist families internationally is supported by a worldwide network built over many decades. An important cornerstone of that network is Family Matters Online, the independent charitable initiative founded by Philip van Hilten, who continues to serve as its editor. Its Family Team brings together experienced and independent professionals from countries throughout the world.
Sometimes our role is to help a family prepare before a problem arises. Sometimes it is to bring order and direction when something unexpected has already happened. In every case, we begin by listening to the family, understanding its history and recognising what truly matters to the people involved.
Our purpose is simple: to use experience, energy and trusted relationships to make life easier for families, help prevent avoidable problems and take worries away before they become overwhelming.
That is the promise behind our name: No More Worries.
